London Food and Drinks #2: Balthazar London

Do you want to feel NY in London? Here you have it: Balthazar London!

It is a real replica of the Balthazar NY, from the decoration to the venue. It’s a French brasserie, so expect it to be a bit posh, but classy and impeccable!

Yes, you will find people well dressed up, the waiters having that French charm, the menus are all in French, the table only has 1 fork and 2 knives, there is an oyster bar, well you are getting the feeling

But the selection of classical French brasserie and bistro dishes is 5 stars.

London Festivals & Celebrations #3: International Pillow Fight Day

London is well known for not needing reasons to celebrate. This might have been how it all started. Yes, you read it right. There is an international pillow fight day, that happens all around the globe. In London, it ususally takes place in Trafalgar Square, but it is actually much bigger tha that. It is a massive event, which takes place in April every year, in more than 100 cities all around the globe, from Paris to New York!

So last weekend the globe celebrated another International Pillow Fight Day…and in London we joined!

Hidden London #5: Savoy Hotel

And now it’s time to share one the London’s mysteries…not the most exciting though, but interesting to know I guess.

Have you walked along the Strand? And have you passed by the Savoy Court (on the left side of the road, if you are walking towards Trafalgar Square)? Have you noticed anything different?
If so, you have spotted the only road in the UK where any type of vehicles are driven on the right-hand side of the road!

It seems that for more than 100 years the little Savoy Court has seen the evolution of transportation from the horse-drawn carriages to the most recent electric or hybrid ones.

It seems there are lots of versions to why is this the case…from to make it easier for the horse-drawn carriage chauffeures to leave the ladies at the hotel, to go against the system, to please the Americans visitors…

Personally I like to leave it in the air. Isn’t it more magical this way? 🙂
